Plus Size Women's Bohemian Floral Maxi Dress with Pockets - Short Sleeve Summer Swing Dress

It is a lovely dress - I opted for Mustard and Blues abstract design. Never owned anything with mustard in it but it went so well with the blues I was tempted and am so glad as they go so well together and plenty of fabric to show the colours and pattern off. I am a 22 but medium frame so expected to do some altering when I ordered 3x - usually shoulders are too wide and skirts too long to fit my large bust but this fitted my shoulders perfectly so no alterations were needed and I was amazed that the skirt just went to the floor so with even the smallest heel it just brushed my feet. The fabric is lovely, light yet nice quality with a soft feel ( even after washing), no see-through even in very bright direct sunlight and so well constructed it took a bit for me to find the pockets as they were set in perfectly as any good dressmaker would do - I am a hobbyist dressmaker so understand the basics and know what to look for in construction and this dress passes all the checks. I could not make the dress for the money I paid unless I went for a cheaper fabric - I paid £22.99 as there was a discount the day I bought it. I actually wore it for a wedding (health problems stopped me from making my own, cut out but not sewn, sadly) with nude kitten heel pumps - 2in heels, so no tripping over the hem and a lovely yellow fancy hat and it was perfect with people asking where I got the dress, perfect as a guest for a summer non-formal wedding. Price has gone back up but I still think if quality and care of construction is there on other patterns the dresses are still worth it and I will buy at least one more. Update - In May 2024, I bought the deep pink one and now, in June 2024 have bought the navy one - I adore these dresses. Last year's one is still as good as new. Perfect for when hot like today ( am wearing the Pink one as its loose but doesn't look like you are wearing a sack, so comfortable and air gets around your body yet looks good if at home, work, or even out for lunch or even a casual meal and drinks in the evening.

I bought the green with large flowers, size L. It fits perfectly. I’m a 14/16, height 5’4”, and it disguises my post menopausal ‘apple’ belly! Nice soft, weighty material of cotton and rayon, (similar to my Mom’s 1940s dresses) which hangs well, falling about 4” above my ankle. I followed their size guide, with height and bust size. Looks more expensive than it cost! Will definitely buy more!

Very nice. I rarely wear a dress, but felt very comfortable and relaxed in this one. It washed well. I ironed it, but probably it would be okay without, depending on personal preference. I would buy again.

These dresses fit well and look lovely on a large body. Some are not cotton though, like the it says on the website. The royal blue one has no cotton in it. It’s a thicker material. Some are a cotton mix. Some are totally cotton. The green with big flower dress has white patches that give the impression the material is threadbare in places. The fit is good and it flows nicely but the illustration is deceptive with less material in real life. B The purple/grey background with lots of flowers is totally cotton The illustrations are deceptive because there is less material in the real life dresses.

It's a beautiful dress. It is not see through and does not stretch. The material is very nice and the pattern and colours are accurate to the website photographs. There is no lining I did notice that there are two size charts on the webpage. Take notice of the one at the end of the scrolling pictures because it's accurate and ignore the one further down the page - it's for their close fitting cloths. I'm thinking of buying one from the same range and even from another range from the same manufacturer

I ordered this black one and the royal blue one, same size. Unfortunately while this is heaven, the most comfortable dress I've ever had in the big heat, seemingly made of pure cotton (almost poplin type - a bit stiff, holds its shape and doesn't stick to sweaty skin - the blue one is made of a completely different stretchy, heavy fabric which feels very synthetic and above all hot. I deliberately got the biggest size so could adjust to my now (old lady just out of a year of strong steroids) weird body shape. In fact with the sticky out side pockets removed, shoulder pads and the sleeves rolled shorter and sewn down, it is far more flattering than I expected it to be (had to get a dress for a wedding and this was perfect with big colourful boho necklace and earings. The blue one is a different kettle of fish though and I don't know what I can do with that, it clings to every bulge despite being so big. Maybe make a top out of it.... What a pity the exact fabric isn't specified, I'd buy another 2 in different colours of the black material if I could be sure of what I'd be getting!

Update. I decided to update my review after not only wearing but washing and drying. I now have five of these dresses in different fabrics. I washed in cold water and totally forgot to use a color catcher. I washed along with other things that would have been ruined if these had bled. Thankfully they did not. They washed up very well. I did not put in dryer. I dried flat or close. I have a large bush outside and I laid them on it and they dried nicely. Some have crinkled like wrinkles and others are virtually wrinkle free. I may or may not iron. Bottom line these are fantastic. And I honestly don’t post a lot of reviews. I did NOT receive anything for this review so you can believe it. They didn’t shrink either. Yay! First time I wore this I got compliments. I had to go to physical therapy and two people there complimented it. Then went to another place and the young lady loved it. So comfortable. I got a 2x as I’m a big lady but I also like baggy. If you are busty you will need to go larger. I think it runs small in the bust. But I’m not overly busty to be able to address that. I have purchased several of these in different fabrics.

This dress is lightweight and really comfortable, but the color is much darker than the picture. The yellow is actually closer to orange/gold and the areas that look pale blue/white are simply light blue. It is also not as long as on the picture, but as I am tall (5'8"), this is not unusual for me

This is my second dress from this company. I enjoyed how my first could cover many flaws (although I have to wear it with a sweater or jacket because it hits my 5’1” overweight torso in an odd, unflattering way). The illustration looks like it’s a gold/black & gray/white, but what I expected to be tones of black are actually light and dark blue, with no white at all. It’s fine but will make it a little trickier for me to coordinate. I will keep it because it’s still nice.
